I-751

We filed Sasha's petition to lift conditions to his green card this week. (If you apply to immigrate to the US but you've been married for less than 2 years, you receive a conditional green card and then file to lift the conditions within 90 days of the 2nd anniversary of immigrating). It was an expensive ($545) stack of papers, but actually pretty mild to fill out compared to his immigration paperwork. 2 pages of application, a list of all our US addresses, a copy of his green card, and 'evidence of our relationship.' I hope that it is processed quickly and no questions are asked so that we don't have to think about these things for 10 years (unless he decides to become a citizen).

April 12 marks 2 years in the US!

Edited to add:
The documents made it to CA wicked fast--by Friday our check was cashed and by Monday, Sasha had already recieved a reply letter in the mail. Now he has a 1-year extension (just for filing) of his conditional green card, and will soon get another letter telling him what to do next. . .
